This is very interesting especially to people of my generation. Sesame Street shaped a lot of my values and skills, mostly communication. Since I help people develop their communication skills, this is a topic that has been cropping up lately.
My officemates were commenting that they got high scores on their listening assessment thanks to the children's shows that they were exposed to when they were children. They were chiding the ones who got low as not having enough of the Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, etc. "Sesame Street" was the ultimate, one of them said. Somebody mentioned "Electric Company" and another who had kids already put "Barney" on the list as well as the most basic of them all.
